Hawaii petroglyphs with deep sea creatures pelagic invertebrates
Liminal Spaces

When my daughter was recently married on the Big Island in Hawaii, we had the opportunity to hike to see Hawaiian Petroglyphs, and we also went SCUBA diving at night, 3 miles from shore, tethered to a rope from the small boat. We were given flashlights and the sea became magical. Pelagic invertebrates came up from the deep ocean. They were jellylike and transparent. The insides of them were like moving neon lights. This painting is part of a new petroglyph/sea series I have started.
